When he first appeared on the scene as an out and proud Gay Footballer I was elated like most other gay males but that soon turned into dismay. The first openly gay man who came out before he began to try out for different NFL Teams.
It is my opinion that he was never ready to play or be out but just sought to get attention as a gay man who tried out for the NFL. Now he is nothing more than an embarrassment to the Gay community. He can not be taken seriously and he should not be. Time to go off into the sunset Babyboy and do not look back, go waste your time else where but not in the public eye.

ONCE AGAIN WE ARE FACED WITH A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
And the Republicans are out in numbers - and lets be honest the lot is full of ignorant idiots.
But the Biggest Jackass at this time is none other than Donald Trump. It can only be hoped that his stupidity and ignorance will eventually put him at the bottom of the list for election to the highest office in the land.
But again it must be clear to the American People that another Democrat must win for if the Republicans get in they will undo all that the current President has done and engage this nation in another unwanted war and set us back a decade of advancement.

AN EXPLAINATION FOR LACK OF POSTINGS
The last post on this blog was near end of June. I do apologize for this it was not intentional but I was dealing with a Health issue that took precedence over all matters. I have been dealing with this issue since May but it took its toll in July and beginning of August. Then after major surgery to aid in the matter. Things have now turned around and thus far I am mending to the point that postings will resume once again.
As stated before the posts here will be about Local or national events that peak my interests. I may even make posts that will find me on my "soapbox" espousing my feelings on some topic or other that I feel needs to be addressed.

JUBILATION
In a 5 to 4 vote Gay Marriage is officially Legal in the United States.
HOWEVER
For me this decision was expected as their vote had to be made based on the letter of the Law in this country. Though it is not written in stone that a marriage compromises a man and a woman uniting in matrimony To ban the union of same sex parties would in fact be a direct violation of the Laws and Rights of this great nation. There can be no differentiation allowing one group of peoples to wed while at the same time denying that same right to another group based solely on the sex of the uniting parties.
The SCOTUS Ruling has given the die-hards of the GOP a Big Blow to their desire to promote hate and one-sidedness.
We Are Legal!!!!!!

CHRISTIANITY..................................................
The Christian Religion is so twisted and not in the least bit a true following of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
I challenge these so called followers and preachers to show me and the rest of the world, where Christ talked against things that today's leaders claim are the anti-basis of the Christian Faith.
DO NOT make quotes from the Old Testament that decries some actions as being against God and Nature. Christians are supposed to be adhering to the direct teachings of Jesus Christ. Quotes from Old Testament Passages are not the things that had anything to do with Christ and his ministries.
Christ's main teachings were in regards to Tolerance, Acceptance and Love - No One was excluded because of who or what they were.
Personally, I find the old testament to be nothing more than a "historical" account of a race of peoples. The only fundamental passage that would apply to modern Christians would be not just our Lord and Saviors lesson's but also the Ten Commandments. The rest of the old testament is useless and baseless to a True Christian.
Kudos to the nation of Ireland for speaking up and stating that Gay people have a proper place in the World contrary to the misleading opinions of the Corrupt and Twisted leaders of a Faith that is truly lost in a modern world.

REMEBERING A NATION'S 1st GREATEST TRAGEDY............
During the Civil Wars Years, we were a nation divided over the issue of Slavery. Though we were still a young nation attempting to continuing to develop - expand our borders - maintain our status of an independent country - this conflict threatened to permenately separate/divide this great land.
The one constant in all this mess was President Abraham Lincoln. Though his election, to the highest office in the land, was the start of the Southern states succeeding from the union. He held fast to the notion that it was his duty and obligation to retain the Union as a whole. The Southern states were viewed as Rebels and were to be defeated and returned to the Union.
President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation truly angered the South as it did what they refused to do - Freed The Slaves - Otherwise the South was gaining greatly over the Union. Until the President finally found a General who had the moxy and ability to get things to turn around for the North and Ultimately Win the nation's war. It was the President's notion that now the war was over it was time to repair the country and renew the progress that had been disrupted by Civil war. Hence it was President Lincoln's idea that there be no malice toward none.
Sadly, President Lincoln did not get to see his dream of a fully united nation, the breach healed and the nation continuing to grow and rise to a more powerful nation within the world of Politics. For on the night of Good Friday, April 14, 1865 while attending a play - Our American Cousin - at Ford's Theater the President was shot in the left rear side of his head and did the following morning, April 15, 1865.
The Nation went into mourning - it was also the first time that this country was with out it Leader.
After the Vice President had been sworn into office as the New Commander in Chief of the United States and the honors and tributes were made to the fallen Commander in Chief, the idea of Malice To None was swept aside as there were powerful officials that wanted the South to pay for its rebellion.
Sadly, this author wishes to state that, HAD the government officials continued onward with the Lincoln plan for after the war - Many, and I Mean MANY of the issues that have arisen since then might very well have been avoided in the mid-20th Century up to the 2nd decade of the 21st Century thus-far.

ELECTION REACTION...........a bit late, but none the same
WHERE THE HELL IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY???
YOU'VE GOT TO STAMD FOR SOMETHING IF YOU WANT TO WIN!
Get the hands of Big Interests out of your damn pockets and
start standing for the people on the major issues. Do your damn job.
The time has arrived that big change is needed in regards to the Government of The United States. Looking back at how the Congressional Body has made a travesty of a Government by the people, for the people. Instead these representatives who make up the two houses of Congress, have chosen to sell their souls for the sake of gratuitous Business n Interests Groups and their interests and forsaking the will of the people. It is High Time to now limit the terms of office for the Congressional Body. If the President is limited on the number of terms he can serve then so can the Congress. This would definitely bring fresh blood, new ideas in regards to handling the cares and concerns of the People. There is also the need to reduce the benefits that these people get. Remember this governing body is composed of persons that are no better or worse than the average American. Let them have HMO Insurances, and as their terms are limited there would be no need for a "lifetime" pension.
The people that are chosen to serve in the government body as our representatives should be and must be People that understand the blight of the regular citizen of this country. Corporate Execs, Lawyers, Obnoxious rich men who have NO clue what the average person goes thru daily, etc. These persons only serve their own ends and push away the interests of the common person.

IS IT ME????????
When it comes to reality shows I can leave them rather than take them However I do like to watch "Kitchen Nightmares" with Gordon Ramsey.
The basis of the show is that Gordon goes into a faltering restaurant to help the owners improve their sales and menus. And it is often the owners who requests his assistance in these matters.
Now mind you Gordon is not a sweet talker when it comes to his observations of the overall food place. He can be abrasive, rude and down right nasty with his criticisms. All of which is done to emphasize the problems the eatery has.
What I do not get is how the owners or in charge chefs get so easily offended at the comments. Eh...excuse me BUT did you, the requestor, not ask the man for help with the fledgling business???
Just makes no sense to me. UGH!

KUDOS To ............................
My Favorite Northeast Philadelphia Pizza Shop, by far the Best in the area I live in. It is made the old way; hand tossed then laid out on a wood top counter/table where the sauce and then the cheese are added then goes on a wood /metal board which is lightly sprinkled with corn meal then placed in the oven on its floor without any device (pan, wire rack or other), to hasten the cooking time (about 15 minutes) and it's delivered Hot - The are the Bomb!!!!

Too Little for Too Much....................
I for one have had enough of being short changed by eateries such as IHOP and the Fast Food Chains such as Burger King, McDonalds and Wendy's. These places have the gall to up their prices and then reduce the products that are offered.
IHOP - you used to get an order of pancakes that covered the inner part of a dinner place now you get dessert sized plates with pancakes that cover the inner part of the plate hence they went from 6-7 inch circumference size to 3-4 inch sized cakes and they do not even fill the Coffee Kraft - you'll be lucky to get 2 1/2 cups of their awful brew.
Regarding the Fast Food Burger joints - They should be sued for False Advertising - the pictures that they use to promote their product is NOTHING like what you actually receive. You can not even see the burger unless you lift the top of the bun off. The burger is now child size - lost within the bun.
I for one have decided that it is more practical to go to a restaurant/diner and pay the higher price for an actual burger that is better and tastier and let's not forget hotter than the SHIT these fast food joints push.
It is time to boycott these places and force them to give the public it's dollar's worth and cease paying their CEO's these exuberant pays and bonuses for doing nothing but pushing papers.
Don't get me wrong capitalism is good but there are limits to the greediness of this enterprise. And that greediness is destroying the core of the American dream. A nation that was based on a three class structure has now reduced the classes to two - Rich vs. Poor. And let's not forget that our government is no longer a For the People by the People structure as it is now dominated by special interests and who can get the most for the least. Congress no longer has the interests of the population at heart as it does its own agenda of hate and division. WAKE UP People before it is too late.
My rant here is not drawn out with great details but straight to the point as I feel it, so pardon the curtness but my point is clear - Enough is Enough!

career as a child actor. He was a friend of Judy
Garland as such and until she passed on. He will
always be a Hardy Boy. RIP

John Pinette, age 50, died. I found
him to be a good comic as I was
always entertained.
